Hey, I’m Matt! I’m a technically inclined maker and artist with roots in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and a passion for turning ideas into tangible wonders! I specialize in bringing ideas into the physical world through various digital manufacturing techniques, like 3D printing, CNCing, and laser cutting. My days are filled with dreaming up whimsical toys & objects that bring joy to both kids and adults alike, and then testing them out on unsuspecting friends and their kids (they love it). I’ve joined the Honda Element community recently and I’m already blown away by the endless creativity and DIY spirit that runs through it. Tailgate Backrest for Honda Element
Introducing our latest innovation for Honda Element owners: the Tailgate Backrest. This backrest easily attaches to the strike plate on your tailgate, providing a comfortable place to lean back and relax. Perfect for watching fireworks, outdoor movies, soccer games, or picnics.
OEM backrests are hard to find and can leave you with sticker shock. Our backrest offers the same comfort and quality at a fraction of the price, with several improvements to the original design. These include locking brackets that secure the backrest in place and a heavier-duty, waterproof, and easier-to-clean material. The storage net features a zipper closure for easy access to stored items but remains attached to the backrest.
We offer the Tailgate Backrest in two varieties:
- Complete Kit: The entire kit, pre-assembled and ready to install, providing immediate convenience.
- Partial Kit: For a lesser price, this option includes just the brackets and the cloth cover. The end user will need to purchase a three-quarter inch EMT conduit and a large pool noodle. We recommend a large pool noodle without a slit, just a hole through the middle. With the partial kit, you save substantially in shipping because it comes packed more tightly in a smaller box.
