Hey, I’m Matt! I’m a technically inclined maker and artist with roots in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and a passion for turning ideas into tangible wonders! I specialize in bringing ideas into the physical world through various digital manufacturing techniques, like 3D printing, CNCing, and laser cutting. My days are filled with dreaming up whimsical toys & objects that bring joy to both kids and adults alike, and then testing them out on unsuspecting friends and their kids (they love it). I’ve joined the Honda Element community recently and I’m already blown away by the endless creativity and DIY spirit that runs through it. From ingenious modifications to quirky additions, these beloved “toasters” are a testament to the community’s ingenuity. Already running a Hex-Mesh Grille Shield and want to add lighting later?
This stand-alone LED add-on kit is designed specifically for Element DIY’s Hex-Mesh backing system, allowing you to upgrade your grille with Raptor-style LED lighting without replacing the grille itself.
⚠️ Important Compatibility Notice — Read Before Ordering
This LED kit is ONLY compatible with the Element DIY Hex-Mesh backing design.
It will NOT fit:
- OEM Honda grilles
- Classic / slat-style grilles
- Other aftermarket grille designs
- Any grille not using the Hex-Mesh backing system
If your grille does not use the Hex-Mesh backing design, this kit will not install correctly.
What’s Included (Per Kit)
Each order includes:
- 5 Raptor-style LED lights
- Custom Hex-Mesh–specific mounting brackets
- Pre-terminated wiring harness for easy installation
- Required mounting hardware
(Grille, backing mesh, badges, switches, and power sources not included.)
LED Options
- Color options: Amber or White
- Designed to integrate seamlessly with:
- Standard Hex-Mesh Grille Shields
- Hex-Mesh setups with eLumi Badges
Multiple kits may be used if your grille configuration supports additional lighting.
Installation Notes
- Engineered specifically for Hex-Mesh geometry
- LEDs mount directly to the Hex-Mesh backing using the included brackets
- No drilling or permanent modification required
- Wiring can be connected to:
- Parking lights
- Headlights
- Aftermarket gang switches
