Honda Element dog window upgrade with dog inside

Jim & Milo

On our first, long distance, camping trip up in Washington State, Milo was hot and miserable from lack of airflow to the back of the E.  It was over 90 degrees and the A/C was not keeping up.  Hell hath no fury like a hot Alaskan Malamute who can’t get a cool breeze in his face in 90 degree heat.  It was a miserable trip with an incredibly vocal and displeased Malamute.

So once home I set out to find a replacement for that third door window.  To my surprise there were no alternatives.  Being a dedicated dog owner and problem solver, I set out to design a window that would be super easy to pop out, super fast to re-install, and easy to use for increased airflow.  It needed to match the look as well as have a way to lock, and store away.

After some trial and error, I finalized the design of the window.  Each Dog E Window is hand crafted from 3/16 Polycarbonate.   I found it doesn’t really create much more wind noise, as I have tested it on i-90, over the Columbia River Bridge (on a windy day… is there any other? ), and down country roads.  Even with Milo sticking his giant head out, additional wind noise is minimal.  Most importantly Milo was super happy and having him ride along was fun again.  Now, even when camping, the increased airflow is 100% better on hot days.

Each window is available in passenger side or driver’s side, or as a set.  They work with or without rain guards and on any Honda Element.

After crafting each window for the client I place it on my Element to be 100% sure of fit and workmanship.  I include a storage bag, with every order.   Each window has 5, keyed, locks and extra keys, and pop rivets to pop back into the holes left behind from the window lever.  In addition, all windows come in Dark Smoke Tint to match the dark tint of the back window of the E.

I have made install videos on You Tube as well.

eleVENT™ Modular Window Vent System (Front Window)
Product Details

Trail Breeze™ / eleVENT™ Modular Window Vent System

Universal Dual-Opening Front Window Vent for Cooling, EcoFlow Heating, and Ventilation

The Trail Breeze™ / eleVENT™ Modular Window Vent System is a vehicle-specific front roll-down window insert designed to give you maximum flexibility for airflow, climate control, and accessory integration — all through a single modular vent platform.

Installation is simple and fully reversible: roll the front window down, place the window plate into the opening, then raise the window to hold the assembly securely in place. No drilling, cutting, or permanent vehicle modification is required.

Estimated lead time: Approximately 2 weeks

How the System Works

Each Trail Breeze / eleVENT window plate features two independent vent openings:

  • Each opening can be configured separately
  • Inserts and adapters may be mounted on the interior or exterior side of the vehicle
  • All inserts and adapters use the same universal vent interface

This allows you to mix and match inserts and adapters for cooling, EcoFlow-based heating, or passive ventilation — now or in the future — without ever replacing the window vent itself.

The system may be installed on either the driver-side or passenger-side front window and is fully removable when not in use.

What’s Included (Per Window)

Each base window vent kit includes:

  • Vehicle-specific window plate
  • Interior vent frame
  • Exterior vent frame
  • High-flow screen insert ×1
  • Blank insert ×1

This provides two usable vent openings out of the box:

  • One screened opening for airflow and bug protection
  • One sealed opening for temperature control or unused ports

Optional Adapter Kits (Most Common Setups)

For customers using portable AC units or EcoFlow systems, the following complete adapter kits may be added at checkout:

🔥❄️📦 EcoFlow Wave 2 / Wave 3 Dual-Hose Kit

  • One opening for intake and one for exhaust
  • Hose direction depends on unit placement (inside vs outside vehicle)

❄️📦 ZeroBreeze Mark 3 Adapter Kit (5″ + 5 1/2″)

  • Required for Mark 3 dual-size hose setups

❄️📦 ZeroBreeze Mark 2 Adapter Kit (Dual · 4″)

  • For Mark 2 dual-hose systems

🔥 Adding a Heater Port (Diesel Heater Setups)

The Trail Breeze™ system can also be configured for diesel heater use with the addition of a dedicated heater port.

Diesel heaters produce sustained high-temperature airflow, which requires a separate pass-through solution rather than the standard modular vent interface.

Heater Port Kit (Add-On)

Includes:

  • Pre-cut 75mm (3") heater port in the window plate
  • Pre-drilled mounting holes
  • 75mm heater flange
  • High-temp gasket
  • Mounting hardware
  • Port cover (for use when the heater is not connected)

This creates a third, dedicated port specifically for heater ducting.

Heater Port Kit is installed by the customer and may be mounted on either side of the vehicle.

Recommended Heater Configuration

When using a heater setup:

  • Heater duct connects to the dedicated 75mm port
  • Both modular vent openings should be sealed using blank inserts

This helps retain heat inside the vehicle and ensures proper system performance.

Important Notes

  • The heater port is a permanent modification to the window plate
  • Designed for standard 75mm heater ducting
  • 60mm systems may be used with widely available reducers
  • Modular vent openings remain available for future expansion
